Lake Shore Cryotronics will be showcasing their award-winning 8600 Series VSM systems and a soon-to-be-released line of high-precision teslameters at next week’s International Conference on Magnetism (ICM) in San Francisco.
Representatives will be on-hand specifically to discuss how the 8600 Series excels at characterizing magnetic samples over a wide (4.2 to 1273 K) temperature range and at fields to 3.26 T, and how it raises the bar for VSM performance in terms of moment sensitivity (<15 nemu) and field programming resolution (1 mOe) across the entire field range of operation.
Extremely fast data acquisition cycles enable researchers to perform more science in less time, particularly when studying low-moment materials (ultra-thin magnetic multilayers, nanoscale magnetic materials, dilute magnetic semiconductors, and paleomagnets). The 8600 Series VSMs also execute first order reversal curve (FORC) measurements quickly, flying through complex FORC data collection sequences in a fraction of the time required on previous systems.
In addition, for ICM attendees interested in magnetic test instrumentation, Lake Shore will be answering questions about the new F71 multi-axis and F41 single-axis teslameters, which offer a new level of precision for field measurement applications (an F71 demo unit with compatible Hall probes will be on display).
